Chris Furr grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with a love of art and history. He has been a full time blacksmith for almost 20 years, working for a number of years at the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia in Staunton. For the past 13 years he has been working in the blacksmith shop at Colonial Williamsburg. He make all kinds of 18th and 19th century period reproductions in the neatest manner, using period tools, methods, and materials. Chris has a keen interest in belt axes and tomahawks.
