Artisan Bio | Earl Williams was born on May 7, 1959. He and his wife, Edna, live on land that was his family has owned since the early 1800's. Earl began his career of rifle building in 1978. In the 1980's he worked at Dollywood along with Richard Frazier who later went to Colonial Williamsburg. Earl now works in his own shop where he has more freedom with his customers. After having made a great range of styles and period over the years, he has now limited himself to Virginia and Tennessee style rifles. He also makes period knives and other accoutrements. All of Earl's rifles are signed in script. His other work is marked with a fancy 'W.' Resource: Contemporary Longrifle Association member. |
