Artisan Bio

I have been building custom flintlock rifles for the last 10 years. My area of interest and focus is on the Lancaster school of rifle building, however in the past years I have build a Virginian, a couple of Bedfords, and have repaired broken rifles. I use relief carving, incised carving, and have started to develop a skill in metal engraving(though basic at this time). My goal is to continue to create finer workmanship rifles including adding more inlays, toe and nose pieces, and to engrave thumb pieces. I have had good rifle stocks in the most part, but I have been shipped some pretty poor wood too. It's always a challenge to work with inferior wood. Because this is a hobby of mine, Ido build custom rifles(one per year), and preferring to build what I think is best to uphold the Lancaster school designs.
