Artisan Bio

Kyle Willyard has been working with wood and iron nearly all his life. He started blacksmithing over 20 years ago, while still in high school. A little more than 10 years ago, he turned his interest to making cutlery. In 1994, Kyle opened Old Dominion Forge and began making knives for his growing list of customers. From the start, the focus was on period-correct, 18th century cutlery. Kyle offers a wide-range of blades: from American primitive knives to European knives and dirks; to swords for both the common and gentleman sorts. Kyle
