Artisan Bio | Neill Fields, born on February 21, 1941 grew up in Indiana. He is a maker of muzzleloading firearms and some accoutrements. Neill began building in 1976 and builds on a full-time basis. His work includes rifles, smoothbores, pistols, bluderbuss' and double flint shotguns. Neill learned the art of building muzzleloaders at Green River Rifle Works in Roosevelt, Utah. His trademark is in script and is either an "N" or "N. Fields." He has been featured in "Guns and Ammo" in 1979 and "Australia Shooting" in 1982. Neill has also built muzzleloaders in Australia in 1981-1982 for Charles Hunter LTD. |
