Artisan Bio | I have been reenacting with my dad and brother since I was 10 years old. I am now 34 and we are still going strong! I started making bags in 2015 as a means of therapy to keep my mind occupied after the passing of my mother. I had no idea that this artwork would become a great life passion. Nothing brings me more relaxation and focus than sitting on the couch, watching a good history movie, and sewing a fine bag. My mom and dad both gave me many talents. My mom certainly passed on the tradition of being an artist to me, but I never fully realized it until i started the art of leatherwork. I owe much of my talent to Tom Greco, a dear friend, fellow CLA member and master craftsmen of bags, horns, and flintlocks. Tom took me under his wing in 2015 and continues to teach me this great art. His generosity towards me and his passion for this art are the primary reasons why I have been successful at making fine bags. Also, my dad has been incredibly generous in investing into my talent and helping me along in my endeavor to make fine bags for friends, family, and future customers. I am a 7th grade social studies teacher and history has always been my passion. I enjoy the friendships and comradery that reenacting and organizations like the CLA promote. If you are in need of a fine shooting bag, I will be glad to be of service. -Eric |
