Artisan Bio | Roland F. Cadle was born on February 9, 1950 and grew up in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. He began building powder horns, working with leather, and studying historic architecture in 1963. He was the catalyst for founding the Honorable Company of Horners when he organized the first 'Horn Fair' in 1996. He has been involved in many educational activities including: Connor Prairie, Old Bedford Village, Ft. Frederick, Ft. Lee, Augusta Heritage Festival, Dixons, and many more. He currently owns a historic building restoration company as well as building horns and bags. He also co-teaches a horn making class twice a year at his shop in Hollidaysburg, |
