Artisan Bio | Thank you for reviewing Scrimshaw Powder Horns by YOSEF. The powder horn shown is from my Lewis and Clark Series. For those of you who are not familiar with my work. I have been engraving powder horns for over 15 years for the movie industry, historical societies and collectors all over the world. Most of my requests are for the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War and the Civil War, I offer many other themes from Nautical to Western themes. I work in the period from about 1720 to about 1865. All my work starts out in pen and ink drawing that I usually take from period art. All my drawing are drawn in my style to reflect the period I am working in. All my powder horns are skillfully built from select cow horns by one the US_??s premier powder horn builders, John Shorb. For purchase or information I can be contacted at ytrilling@kc.rr.com or if you chose I would be more then happy to talk to you at 816-304-8087. Upon your request I will send you more information or pictures of the powder horn being offered. I can also provide you a quote for a custom horn. About 90% of the powder horns I create are custom orders. With that out of the way, the powder horn being offered has my Celtic Knot band with Lewis and Clark Scrimshawed in the band . Side 1 has Lewis And Clark in their field buckskins that they wore through most of the trek. Under them there is the peace medal (some people call it the Peace Medallion ) Side 2 has Sacajawea pointing to something, I took this off a famous period painting and I have no idea what she is pointing to. Under her I have her husband Charbonneau who was very important to the trek. This powder horn is 12 3/4 inches long. Lewis and Clark are among some of my favorite topics. I am looking forward to hear from you_?__?_.YOSEF |
