Artisan Bio | I create furnishings that were found in 18th Century homes, in taverns, or in campaign tents. I use traditional methods and hardwoods that would have been used for such items during that time period. My creations include tape looms (two styles), Jefferson writing desks, candle boxes, pipe boxes, British campaign chairs, tilt-top tables, George Washington folding stools, Bible boxes, gout stools, laced frames (for embroidery), porringers, hand-carved spoons, spurtles, lucets, clothing/hat brushes, musical instrument brushes, and totes. My work has been featured in Early American Life magazine, and I have applied for and gained inclusion in their annual directory every other year since 2009. My work is also on display and for sale at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea. |
