Artisan Name | James Rogers |
---|---|
Artisan Category | Hunting bags and powder horns |
Artisan Bio | https://jamesrogerscreations.weebly.com/ My main area of specialization is with fowling guns and their accessories such as pouches, bags, flasks, etc. My study focus lies primarily with early English sporting/civilian arms and their accoutrements as well as those related firearms that made it to the colonies in various grades of quality. I also have an interest in continental firearms and associated equipment of the eighteenth century sporting gentleman. I am an accomplished leatherworker with 33 plus years experience. I strive to implement old world European tools and techniques in my craft. I attempt to have my leather reproductions and creations reflect their origin with a trained English saddler or harness maker. My craft involves the use of various mediums including leather, wood, iron, steel, horn, antler, and non-ferrous metals. |
