Artisan Category | Longrifles, pistols and fowlers |
Artisan Bio | I am a student of the "Longrifle Culture" with a primary interest in studying and recreating longrifles and associated accouterments including powder horns, knives, and tomahawks. I am a regular student of The Southern Ohio Artisan Workshops held at Canter's Cave in Jackson, OH, Cabin Creek Muzzleloading Shop in Hallam, PA, and the Goshen Historical Society, School of Blacksmithing in Goshen, OH. I have been privileged over the years to have the opportunity to study and improve my craft under my mentors and friends Hershel, John, and Frank House, Ian Pratt, Ken Gahagan, Jim Kibler, Brad and Shane Emig, Joe Seabolt, Rich McDonald, Billy Griner, and Tom Curran. I also enjoy using the items I've made and collected to pursue deer, wild turkey, and squirrels and to compete in black powder club matches. |
