Hello, My name is Steve, I was born and raised in a small town in Tennessee, Greeneville ( still Live here) I have been doing this kind of work about 40 years now. I am heavily involved in the Overmountain Victory Trail Association in Partnership with the National Park Service. I am the historical interpreter for the OVTA. I do year-round programming for Adults and children of all ages. Telling the story of the American Revolution and the fight for FREEDOM! The year before COVID-19 came. We programmed for at least seventeen thousand individuals. My work is a gift that came with me the day I came into this world. I can't remember a time when I wasn’t creating. I did have a bout with the big C (cancer) The doctor gave me a 20% chance with rigorous Chemo I think I had about 720 hours of chemo. It takes the wind out of your sails for a bit. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But that was 3 years ago. By the grace of the almighty my work is not done. I was awarded a lifetime achievement award in living history interpretation. By the East Tennessee Historical Society. and was awarded the enduring patriot award by the national Park Service. The southern campaign of the American Revolution. I was contracted by the state park service in Elizabethton TN. My wife and created the accoutrements and clothing for their mannequins and also for some of the display cases. if ever in Elizabethton TN. stop by and check out the museum at Sycamore Shoals State Park.
