Antique Jaeger flintlock rifle marked 1799. 68 caliber (I’ve fired this rifle with 0.662 ball and a 0.015″ patch). Rifle was originally a flintlock and then converted to percussion. I converted back to to flintlock with an L&R flintlock lock (forgot to brown the cock bolt). Wrist has visible plugs to what I assume were tang sights. 31 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ – 15/16″ – 1 1/8″ swamped barrel, inlaid with silver? 47 1/4″ overall length, 2″ drop at the heel. Double set triggers. Relief carved stock. Replaced sliding patch box. Ramrod is stuck. Holes in horn nose cap. Fully functional. Bore has texture consistent with a 224 year old rifle. I considered having Bobby Hoyt freshen it up, but since it is shootable, no real need. Bore is not pitted. Some color still comes out of the grooves when cleaning.
