This is a very nice original M1863 Springfield Type 1 Musket. It is in great shape except for the date on the barrel, all markings are clear. Barrel is still rifled. Mainspring is very strong.
Stock is nice but cartouches are sadly, no longer visible. This musket comes with it’s matching bayonet.
This is a very nice musket that would enhance any Civil War collection.
