Back when I was working with John Bivins on the Pennsylvania Bicentennial Rifle contract, the IRS was trying to levy an 11% excise tax on John claiming he was a firearms manufacturer. John fought it, but it was very expensive. A John Bivins defense fund was formed and contributions were made. Someone, I can’t remember who, had about 50 of these unused Goulcher locks which he was selling for $25 each with all of the proceeds going to John’s fund. I bought 5 and this is the last one.
