A pair of original French pocket pistols with screw barrels, in the Queen Anne style. Mid-18th c. Fine quality, steel hardware with gray patina and bright locks. Walnut stocks with silver wire inlay. The stocks are stable, though there are a couple fine, cracks. Some wire lnlay missing. The stepped barrels with “cannon” muzzles measure 2 1/2″ in length. Bores are .50 cal., dark and with pitting. Overall, very nice pieces. The locks are mechanically good and crisp. I will have these at the upcoming Lexington show for those wanting a closer look.
