For sale is a Queen Anne screw barrel pistol made by William Turvey, a respected London gunsmith. It was likely made between 1715-1730. This pistol has seen use but not abuse. It shows 300 years of honest wear and exhibits a wonderful, deep patina. The name on the lock plate is partial, but Turvey’s barrel stamp is clear (shown). The barrel is 7″ long and the overall length is about 13″. The bore is about .62 caliber and shows oxidation. The barrel lug for barrel removal is worn, the tang screw is likely a replacement, and the trigger guard has an old repair (all shown). Those issues aside, it is a respectable pistol that reflects the early 18th century. Kindly contact me if you wish further information. $1,200, shipping include in the US.
