Here’s an early gun that makes me think of George Schroyer. It has a 45″ octagon-to-round smoothbore (about .50 caliber). Old-time wrist repair, replaced lock and side-plate, about 9″ of wood replaced at the muzzle, but I don’t think the barrel was stretched. Beautiful carving at the tang, wrist, and fore-stock (butt-stock molding, too). Early-style patchbox, wide butt and trigger guard, no toe plate. Thanks for looking. John
