Artisan Bio | Allan Sandy grew up in St. Augustine, Florida. He began building rifles in 1988 and became a full-time gun builder in 1990. His work inlcudes Pennsylvania rifles, Virginia rifles and pistols, English/American fowlers, a swivel breech Allentown rifle and Allan completed his 100th rifle in January 2005. Allan is known by his fine relief carved rifles, wire work and engraving. Allan won Best of Show at Dixon's Gunmakers Fair three years in a row (1992-1994). He has also taught seminars at Dixon's Gunmakers Fair and Prichett's Fort. |
