Artisan Bio | Michael Markey was born in 1946 in Methuen, Massachuestts, A formally trained graphic designer, he did not start building rifles till nearing his retirement from the graphic design industry. The combination of the creative side and the historical side seemed to fill his need for artistic creativity, and combined well with his interest in historical firearms. Now residing in Woodstock, Georgia, he builds early flintlock rifles specializing in reproductions of the work of Lancaster and surrounding county makers.
